Lots of shows need positions filled at the last minute, and sometimes I do run prompter based off my years in live shows and my news television studio background. I use to do this off paper sheets, and also using Telescript over the many years. This software is a core platform, but many version make it challenging when the kits are from a vendor.
Lots to take in, but running prompter is part of my high level focus skills as a print publishing, and live Television News Broadcast background.
This work is a lot like what I do as a #GraphicsShowOperator. You have to be able to interact with CXO level communication and their staff to streamline scripts, while giving them confidence and confront on stage.
All this work also include: file management, quick typing, technical knowledge and high focus on cues from your presenters. One bad stage direction can easily throw off a presenter. Some are great at it, some are new at presenting in a large room. Focus is key.
